LINCOLN EUROPE QUALITY SYSTEMS
The common thread that links all the sites in the Lincoln Electric Europe group, and ensures that our products remain at the very top of the market, is very simple : Consistency.
We know the standards our customers expect, and we know how to maintain and exceed these standards. This is achieved and maintained through the Quality System.
POLICY
The Company Quality Policy and Objectives are dictated by the Lincoln Corporate Office in Cleveland, Ohio and are therefore consistent throughout the Lincoln Group world wide.
RAW MATERIALS
We benefit from purchasing through a Group Supply Network, whereby manufacturing and sales sites in different countries purchase from the same source, and therefore receive materials manufactured to consistent standards and specifications. With regards to manufacturing, where our competitors insist on specifications meeting EN / AWS standards, we control our chemical compositions much tighter and insist on raw materials which dictate that our products perform better and consistently better.
MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS
Although all manufacturing sites in Europe have ISO9000 accreditation, our systems go much further than complying with this standard. Inspection and testing extensively covers Process Control activities as well as Finished Product. We control the process using tight internal tolerances, so that we know the finished product will be right. Then we test the Finished Product as well.
All systems allow traceability from the Finished Product right back to the chemical composition of incoming raw materials. Each site also manufactures to a Lot Numbering system, allowing easy traceability. This also allows specific order requirements to be controlled throughout the Group, and between Group companies, where required.
PRODUCTS
Lincoln Europe benefits from extensive Research and Development carried out world wide throughout the Lincoln Group, this allows us to stay on top of the competition by continually improving our range. We also have facilities whereby we can produce standard and non-standard products (ie. limitless variations in diameters, weights, packaging etc) while still manufacturing within our Quality Systems and Standards.
All products manufactured under Lincoln brand names are audited and tested regularly by 3rd Party Approval Bodies, ensuring that our product performance continues to maintain the standards our customers’ expect.
AFTER-SALES
The benefits of our Quality systems do not end with the sale of the product. Our traceability systems enable actual 3.1b Test Certificates to be produced upon request, in addition to the typical 2.2 certificates that accompany every delivery of product. Production and testing history can also be used to advise customers on getting the best possible performance from our products out in the field.
Our extensive technical expertise throughout the Lincoln Group can be called upon to advise on the development of customer projects in any country, and the ability to source products from Lincoln Europe companies allows the customer to receive a package specifically tailored to their needs.
CONCLUSIONS
In summary, Lincoln Electric Europe is a single source of product, information and expertise spread over a number of countries. The conformity in the Quality systems between sites enables the customer to benefit from a consistently better product and service, again and again.
