Heavy Industry

Image #1

Heavy Industry segment refers to a wide range of activities such as pressure vessels, windtowers, bridges and steel profile manufacturers.

The related welding applications vary from butt welds to fillet welds, performed in or out of position, mainly concerning thick carbon and low alloy steels used at a wide range of temperatures.

Lincoln Electric focuses on: Productivity improvement, quality and reliability; we have developed ranges of robust power sources in parallel with welding consumables designed to fit customer requirements.

Typical examples are :

● Innershield wires (FCW) to get rid of weather conditions with « on site » projects

● 1000kg Accutrak drum (SAW wire) in order to reduce the change over time and protect wire from dirty workshop environments.

● SMAW electrodes combining both elevated mechanical properties and easy weldability in various positions.

Lincoln Electric also developed the next generation of power sources based on Wave Form Control Technology, the PowerWave 1000 AC/DC. This machine allows a modulation of the alternative Wave Form Current to precisely adjust the welding parameters to your applications and giving you the optimal deposition rate and arc stability.

This is also now an excelent option for multiarc (up to 4) process for Submerged Arc Welding, providing outstanding productivity improvement.
